This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information in connection with our website located at https://www.takt.io (the “Website”) and our warehouse intelligence and labor management platform (the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy is designed for a business-to-business audience. In providing our Services, Takt may act either as a data controller or a data processor, depending on the context in which personal information is processed. Where we process personal information on behalf of our customers, we do so as a processor or service provider and in accordance with our contractual obligations.
1. Scope and Roles
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected when you visit our Website, interact with us in a business capacity, or when we process personal information through our Services.
When you interact with our Website, request a demo, or engage with our marketing or sales teams, Takt acts as a data controller and determines how your personal information is used.
When our customers use the Services to process workforce or operational data, Takt acts as a data processor or service provider. In those cases, our customers determine the purposes and means of processing, and we process personal information only on their behalf and in accordance with their instructions.

When you visit or interact with our Website, we automatically collect certain information about your device and usage. This may include your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring URLs, and interaction data. We collect this information using cookies and similar technologies, as well as third-party analytics and advertising tools such as Google Analytics and marketing platforms.
In connection with the Services, we process personal information on behalf of our customers. This may include employee identifiers such as name, employee ID, and manager information; workforce performance and productivity metrics; operational activity data from warehouse systems; and, where provided by the customer, compensation-related data such as hourly wages. We do not intentionally collect biometric data or other sensitive categories of personal information unless provided by the customer, and customers are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate rights to share such information with us.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information collected in connection with the Website and business interactions to operate and improve our Website, respond to inquiries, provide customer support, manage relationships with prospective and existing customers, send marketing communications where permitted, analyze usage trends, and maintain the security and integrity of our systems.
We process personal information on behalf of our customers solely to provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services. This includes analyzing workforce performance, generating insights, supporting integrations and configurations, and ensuring the reliability and security of the platform. We do not use Customer Data for advertising purposes, do not sell such data, and do not use it for independent profiling outside of our customers’ instructions.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where applicable under data protection laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we rely on several legal bases to process personal information. These include processing that is necessary to perform a contract, such as providing our Services; processing based on our legitimate interests, such as improving our Website, securing our systems, and managing business relationships; processing based on your consent, such as for certain marketing communications; and processing required to comply with legal obligations.
6. How We Share Information
We may share personal information with trusted third-party service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as cloud hosting providers, analytics providers, customer relationship management platforms, marketing tools, and support services. These providers are authorized to use personal information only as necessary to provide services to us.

7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and to comply with our legal obligations.

After applicable retention periods, personal information is securely deleted or anonymized.
8. Data Security
